Hallo,

my first questions here. :biggrin:
-In 1986 Renault changed the bumpers. Is it possible to change fit the first version (Ph1?) to younger cars (Ph2)?
-Do you know some shops for spare parts? It`s difficult to get spares fpr Renaults from the 80`s here in germany.
- And finally, do you know sites like www.mobile.de in France?

Dear der henrik,

It is a bit more complicated than you imagine. In fact in July 1986, Renault turned R9 from Phase I to Phase II. In absolute nothing is impossible but actually it is rather impossible to give spare parts from Phase II body to Phase I body, specially the bumpers.

You'd rather find a second hand spare part. You may eventually search on this non commercial website in the section "vente" (sell).

You just have to write the model you are searching for (R9 or Renault 9) and announces will flee :!: In French "bumper" is said "pare-choc". "Front" is said "avant" and "rear" is said "arrière".

If you are looking for brand new mechanical spare parts, you have two websites in France :

- yakarouler : http://www.yakarouler.com/

But they do not usually furnish body spare parts.

R9 and R11 had a facelift altogether in July 1986. From July 1986, it is possible to take front bumper from R9 to R11 and from R11 to R9 because they were the same till the end in 1989, not before July 1986. For rear bumper, I am not so sure, you need confirmation. :geek:

Hallo,

my question is about the arrière pare-choc on an Ph1 Renault 9. Can this arrière pare-choc be fitted to a later Ph2 R9? The later one is longer?! Difficult to explain in english, sorry.

I am afraid it is not compatible. You have to search on dedicated second hand website as Le bon coin, you have a good chance to find your rear bumper.

For example, you may ask to this breaker in south France wether he would be kind enough to send you a spare part as rear bumper to Germany :

First ask the the price for the bumper and secondly for the parcel to Germany.
